Good news or bad news?

It's your pick: you can choose to listen to my moaning, talking about some bad news; you can listen to me gushing about how great my plans for this weekend are..... or you could, if you really wanted to, read both!

Bad news:

So, let's just get this one out of the way first of all.
The weather is still awful with it raining almost constantly today! Don't get me wrong, we NEED rain, but did it have to be the weekend that I'm camping outside in a tent? I think I must have done something to really piss off Mother Nature.
Also, people have suddenly grown incapable of replying to texts, which seriously pisses me off! How hard is it to type a few sentences? Any ways, I'm not going to tire you with my ranting on about this topic... not today any ways!

Good news:

Time for the good news.
This weekend, I'm going to be doing my practice walk for DofE on Dartmoor with only my friends and no supervision. It's going to be so much fun! It'll also be the first time that I sleep over on Dartmoor, and I'm sure sharing a 3-man tent with 4 other girls is going to be interesting. At least we'll give off so much heat that we'll keep warm during the night! And, being even more optimistic, I get to eat great food (pasties and sweets!), mess around with my friends and this will be even better if it does rain as I found out that singing in the rain really is as fun as the song! See? I'm making a bad situation into a semi-good one!
Even better, next week is Enrichment Week which literally just means that we get a whole week away from lessons and learning to do pretty much nothing but boring activities. This may sound like a bad thing but half the time the activities only take half of the designated time to do, so for the rest of the time we can just hang out with our friends. The day I'm most looking forward to is Tuesday as I'm going to be taking part in the HMS Rayleigh challenge which is organised by the army. This means that I'll be getting muddy, playing tug-of-war and playing hide and seek with 100 other teenagers in bushes. I'm so excited!

Hopefully you've read all of the post, and particularly not just the bad bit, as you'll be able to see how the good out ways the bad by a landslide.
Speak to you guys soon to tell you if I got lost in the middle of Dartmoor!

Orienteering in the rain

This is going to be the name for the new musical I'm writing- I was inspired by the cruel activity that my P.E teachers made my class do today.
Lets just say that the we haven't had the best weather recently down here in the South West recently.
When I walked to school today, I was pretty optimistic: the sun was shining and I couldn't see a cloud in the sky. However, fast forward two hours to my P.E lesson, and all you could see was this big black cloud. Great.
So, seeing this disaster in the making, my teachers thought it would be good if they made us run around looking for specified points whilst they stayed in a bus shelter until we were done. 10 minutes into our search and, you guessed it, it started to rain cats and dog. I got absolutely soaked! Then, it took my teachers an additionally 10 minutes, with us standing in this weather, just to make sure we were all back. Seriously? I don't think anybody would have stayed out longer than absolutely necessary!

We still managed to have a good time, though. We all started to discuss about how this would be the perfect kissing weather as it was so romantic and we also managed to have a laugh. We all started singing in the rain and dancing (even the teachers found it amusing!) but, best of all, we were in hysterics after a girl in our class turned up covered in black hairspray that had ran down her face and onto her kit. She had been told to put the hairspray on to cover up her purple streak, little did she know that it wasn't water proof! She looked as is she had put waaayy too much mascara on!

Me and my best friend- I wasn't kidding when I said I was soaked to the bone!

Curse my ignorance!

Remember when I said that there were only 5 weeks of school left before the summer hlidays? It turns out that there are actually 6 weeks. Damn inablility to count!

Who ever said that ignorance is bliss obviously didn't know what he was talking about!

Bad day

Today has been an awful day- it's been one of those when you feel like no one would notice if you disappeared.
I feel like I don't really matter to anyone...

I think I need some ice cream to cheer me up :)

Move over Ben and Jerry! Yarde Farm ice cream has to be the best ice cream in the world! Their slogon 'Seriously good ice cream' is so right, particularly the clotted cream vanilla. Yum!

5 weeks to go...

This is my first week without an exam in God knows how long (about a month!) and it is such a relief. Who knew that exams would be so stressful?
5 weeks from now I'll be chilling out with my friends, not worrying about school and sleeping! 5 whole weeks feels like a lifetime, in and out of school for another 35 days, but I'm sure (I'm hoping!) that those 35 days will soon be over and done with- I desperately need the summer holidays!

...Now let's just hope that my teachers aren't that cruel as to give my class a surprise test in one of their lessons! I'm not sure whether I'll be able to stay awake, let alone actually learn something! :)

Memory Lapse

Mamma mia! This is not a good start but this needs to be said.

By the way, hi! Welcome to my blog.

Why is it that people seem to forget and remember things when they want to just so that they can prove a point or win an argument? I mean, I admit, I do it as well, but it's incredibly frustrating!

Take tonight, for example. I was packing my rucksack for an inspection on my equipment at DofE (for those  who don't know, this stands for Duke of Edinburgh award) tomorrow and I couldn't find this scarf... thing that my mum had gotten me. She started running about the house, swearing that she'd given it to me although she definitely hadn't. (She always starts to blame people when she knows she's misplaced something!)
Sure enough, 10 minutes later, her story had changed for the 10th time, saying that she'd definitely left it on this table and I must have taken it to my room and had lost it.

So, typically, I'm now in the doghouse with my mum even though I haven't done anything wrong and I'll find out tomorrow that after thoroughly searching my bedroom, through my personal belongings, she'll look somewhere else (just to be sure) and will find this 'scarf' that has caused such an ordeal.

Just a typical night in the Robertson household! :)
