Memory Lapse

Mamma mia! This is not a good start but this needs to be said.

By the way, hi! Welcome to my blog.

Why is it that people seem to forget and remember things when they want to just so that they can prove a point or win an argument? I mean, I admit, I do it as well, but it's incredibly frustrating!

Take tonight, for example. I was packing my rucksack for an inspection on my equipment at DofE (for those  who don't know, this stands for Duke of Edinburgh award) tomorrow and I couldn't find this scarf... thing that my mum had gotten me. She started running about the house, swearing that she'd given it to me although she definitely hadn't. (She always starts to blame people when she knows she's misplaced something!)
Sure enough, 10 minutes later, her story had changed for the 10th time, saying that she'd definitely left it on this table and I must have taken it to my room and had lost it.

So, typically, I'm now in the doghouse with my mum even though I haven't done anything wrong and I'll find out tomorrow that after thoroughly searching my bedroom, through my personal belongings, she'll look somewhere else (just to be sure) and will find this 'scarf' that has caused such an ordeal.

Just a typical night in the Robertson household! :)
